Dear ODB Users:

Before the big weekend, we are releasing two new pieces of free software that
are completed and tested, and offer some significant improvements over what
we have offered in the past:

1) The first of these is a brand new piece of software called e-Wrapper 2.0.
Ewrapper is for wrapping and un-wrapping text, to prepare it for sending
out in your
email newsletter. As with ODB, the user interface design is the main asset
of this
tool; it is very powerful yet you can learn to use it in about 2
minutes. This version
even takes care of stripping out forwarding characters ("> ") for
you! Version 1.0
had a loyal following of about 500 users; this is so easy to use we expect
it to
be snapped up by tens of thousands of people via download.com eventually.

It is a free program, and includes source code. A volunteer, Tina Thomas,
developed version 2, and then over the summer Tim O'Leary and Sara Peach
improved the color scheme and worked out a few small glitches. The following
link will download a "zip" file containing the "Beta" version. This should
work
on any version of Windows; if it does not work please try installing ODB, and
then it should work, as it depends on one of the microsoft system files
(msvb5vm) that comes with ODB.

Please let us know what you think. The grapics are pretty good, but we
could
use help with designing a better icon. The following download location
will only
be available until September 2:
http://organizenow.net/ewrapper/version20.zip

2) The other gift is that we have a beta version of the next version of
ODB. This
is a small maintenance release that fixes the region code feature, adds a
mail code for "deceased", and adds a powerful "right-click" search feature.

Just as the old Napster music sharing program would allow you to click
on a song and find other songs by the same user, the new ODB (0.9.3b)
will allow you to right-click on a city, state, street name, or zip code to
pull up an option to find people in the same city, in the same state, in the
same zip code, or on the same street!

   The beta download location is:

Feedback appreciated! The final release will be around 9/5/03.
