Now that we have released 0.9.3a, we are about to embark on
on a couple of very significant upgrades to the ODB software.

Organizers' Collaborative would love some feedback from the 700
ODB users on this list before we make these changes.

This is a very short 5 question survey. It should take about 90 seconds.
To respond, simply reply to this email message, and just indicate
"1", "2", "3", "4" or "5" after each question, and send it on to us.
Our goal is to have 100 responses. Thanks!

*******  ODB USER SURVEY   --   JULY 24, 2003  ***********

1. Some users of ODB have requested that we add the ability for a
     consultant to set up an ODB database on an SQL or mySQL server,
     so that the database can be accessed over the Internet by members
     of a group without an office, or with offices in more than 1 location.

     How important is this feature to you, on a 1-5 scale?
     0=Don't Understand
     1=Don't Need, 2=Future Use, 3=Might Try, 4=Definitely Try, 5=Critical
to Us

___

2. Some users of ODB have requested that we go beyond the
      previous question by implementing a Web Front End to a
      database in an ODB format, so that once the ODB data is
      available on MySQL or MS-SQL, it can be accessed by any PC
      using a standard web browser, regardless of operating system.

     How important is this feature to you, on a 1-5 scale?
     0=Don't Understand
     1=Don't Need, 2=Future Use, 3=Might Try, 4=Definitely Try, 5=Critical
to Us

___

3. Some potential users of ODB have requested that we provide the
      desktop software in a form that can be installed and run on a Macintosh
      or on Linux. How important would this be to you, on a 1-5 scale?

      1=Would not use, 2=Might Use, 3=Probably Use, 4=Definitely if on a Mac,
               5=Definitely if on Linux

___

4. Some users of ODB have requested that we implement a feature
      to enable the linking of people and groups. This way, you could
      associate a person with a group and you could designate one
      person as a primary contact with each group. This feature would
      allow for a 5-line address for Organizational addresses; it would
      allow you to optionally print home addresses or organizational
      addresses of your contacts; it would allow you to make just one
      change to alter the office address of everyone at an organization.

     How important is this feature to you, on a 1-5 scale?
     0=Don't Understand
     1=Don't Need, 2=Future Use, 3=Might Try, 4=Definitely Try, 5=Critical
to Us

___

5. Finally, what is the status of your ODB use? (use an 'x' to check)

__ a) don't yet use
__ b) using now, there are ______ people in my database [how many?]
__ c) tried it, ran into obstacle: ________________________
