Dear ODB users:
Those of you who took the time to read last Friday's email might have
noticed that while we fixed almost everything, there were 2 issues
relating to the "Import" function that remained.
Thanks to your feedback, we have taken care of those: Version 0.9.3
has been updated.
If you want details, or you would like to test the new version, please read
on below. Feedback from so many of you has been extremely helpful,
and the pace of updates should quiet down quite a bit...

Responses to ODB Questions:
1. Joel Remigio and Kathy Gannett reported problems importing comma
delimited data. The problem was that ODB was not reading header
information properly when the header row put quotes around field names:
"first", "last"
"jane","doe"
"john","brown"
The new version made available today fixes this problem.
2. The second issue, mentioned on Friday, was that when a file has
lots of adjacent duplicates (such as the file generated from the form that
people use to download ODB), ODB would not catch them.
A version of ODB with a completely revamped import routine is now
available. This is version 0.9.3 "experimental." The changes are so
significant in this version that we are only recommending it to people
who are uploading large files, or files with lots of duplicates. This will
eventually become version 0.9.3a. It is available at:

3. Staff and interns at OC noted a couple of very minor problems;
these are noted in the release notes, but the only one you are likely
to notice is that when you Export records, or save a Query, the
button now reads "Save". Before it read "Open." The other issues
were even more cosmetic in nature and are noted in the release
notes (www.organizersdb.org).
