[Odb-help] 0.9.6 is released!

Dear ODB Users:

We have released version 0.9.6 of ODB!   The release
maintains strict compatibility for all of the ODB databases
created in 0.9.5 and earlier versions!  Below is an excerpt

This release directly responds to user suggestions (and
a few complaints) received this fall.

We plan further improvements in 2005. And we are adding
training options to ensure that hundreds of grassroots groups
can take advantage of the improvements.

Finally, please consider an end-of year donation to this
work.  It is tax deductible!  Last year we received $2035
in December alone through online donations, which was 45%
of what we received in all of 2003. 

This year we have received $760 in December, which is only
21% of our total for all of 2004, so we have a ways to go.

p.s. here is the synopsis of what is in 0.9.6.

Version 0.9.6 is a release to ODB with one very significant
addition, the incorporation of a salutation field.  This
release also features some fixes to small bugs found by ODB
users.  The fixes relate to mailings, expiration dates, and
thank you notes.  Note that the salutation field addition
changes the layout of the People window slightly.  To use
the salutation field you must run the ODB 0.9.5b updater,
which is at http://organizenow.net/odb/convert095b.exe

Fixes include:
- import and export could be interrupted (other buttons still active)
- Title not printed on mailing labels
- Editing an old gift was advancing the expiration date in some cases
- Long names on mailing labels truncated unnecessarily
- "Auto Salutation" feature was printing suffixes
- Added log-awaited salutation field.  You can customize it and
  it should show up in thank you printing, and exporting (all fields).
