hey ODB users:

2 updates:

1. ZIP CODE DATABASE CORRECTED
We had some more feedback from Bill Bussey of the
Triangle Rails to Trails group, and this included a
correction in the ODB zip code file. If you click on
the wrench and you then click on "download zip code
file..." the current ODB zip code file will be replaced
by a newer one. It is a download from the internet
of under 1Mb, less than the size of the original ODB
download.

The new zip code has the zip codes in Miami
(33100 to 33299) that were very possibly missing from
the census bureau data we started with. Bill worked
with us to fill in the gap, and he typed in most of the
missing zip codes manually. Thanks! If you try the
button and your zip code data is not updated immediately,
you could just exit ODB and restart it, and they should
then work. If you also want to update the zip code file
on your server, email us and we will send you
instructions so you don't have to update each pc on
your network individually.

2. Our Annual Conference is not just for ODB users,
but there will be a few there there. The purpose
of the conference is actually to provide a networking
and training opportunity on all the technical aspects
of running a small nonprofit. This year the focus is
on political engagement, and on open source software.

Currently 110 people are registered: 60% of registrants
are from the Boston area, and 40% are from outside,
mostly outside of Massachusetts. There are 40
places remaining, so please register in the next week
if you can! Below is the latest information on the event.
