I encourage every small nonprofit to send a staff member to
this affordable 6-session class. You can also attend any of the
classes individually. Tecschange is a great nonprofit working to
provide technology to social justice groups in Boston.

- Find technical volunteers or low-cost help for more complicated fixes.
- Know when to do Windows updates, and when to wait.
- Plan a simple policy for computer use at your organization.
- Learn about protection like "firewalls" and "spyware".
- Find out about insurance for your computers.
- Decide what kind of Internet access is best for you.
- Understand the basics of computer networks.
- Know what databases can be used for besides mailing labels.
- Learn about software licenses: what's the best policy.
