Dear ODB Users:
Lots of feedback from the last update. We have a few new "mantis" users
who are posting feedback on ODB at mantis.organizersdb.org. And the
feedback we got was "keep the 640 x 480 resolution". It is good
to hear that there are groups who still need it! One group also wrote
us recently, "We're a grassroots start-up, alternative library eager to
help the social change movement grow. ODB is fantastic and we've
begun to use it." Thanks, this keeps us going! A few more updates:
1) No one reported any trouble getting 0.9.6 to work. Though one
user did report something that might have gone unreported for a
while: label printing for "groups" was not working anymore. Thanks
for the report (Mark Oswood); it was easy to fix. We updated the
installer for 0.9.6 so you can redownload now, or wait for 0.9.6a.
2) We received one volunteer offer, and one resume for an Intern, to
help us work on the web site. Thanks! while we have the capability
of doing the work in-house, most of our staff time must be devoted
now to working directly with small nonprofits, or on organizing our
6th annual conference, slated for mid-April in Boston.
3) I mentioned that we had a special fundraising appeal. That is
because now is like late August on PBS for us. We are doing
our annual fund drive so that we don't have to do this the rest
of the year. I mentioned that we raised $2,070 in December.
So far we have raised $705 in January. If you are not yet a member
of OC and you want to help us, or if you would like to receive
a discount on our conference, or if you want to receive one of the
free gifts we offer to new members, just go to:
https://secure.groundspring.org/dn/index.php?aid=519&rdata=odbhelp
Note: the membership discount and special premium offer expire
on January 11. Also, photos and full descriptions of several
key premiums are posted at www.organizenow.net/donate .
