Dear ODB Users:

We are looking for stories about how your organization uses ODB
in its fundraising operation. These stories will be distributed in future
ODB manuals and materials.

To give one example, at Organizers' Collaborative we now have
have about 600 donors in all, about 45% of whom donated in the
past 12 months. Obviously we want to develop a way to organize
contacts (phone calls, mainly) to the 55% who have not donated
in the last year. Also we would like to take the people who are
strong, generous supporters, and communicate with them in a
more personal way.

In fundraising lingo, these systems are usually known as
"Phonebanking" and "Planned Giving". With phonebanking, you
remind people about their membership expiration. With Planned
Giving, you have a dialogue with people about what they gave last
year, and do they want to give the same the next year either in
2 or 3 or 12 payments, do they want automatic payments via credit
card, etc.

Please share your information by emailing me at rc2005 <at>
organizenow.net and I will share your stories with the list. Your
submissions will affect the new features we are adding to ODB, right
now.

thanks.
